Legal
Terms that explain the relationship.
The agreement below is a structured starting template for hosting, domain, infrastructure, and support services.
1. Agreement and services
These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between [full legal entity name] ("YamsHost", "we", or "us") and the customer identified in an order or account ("you" or "Customer"). They govern the hosting, domain, infrastructure, support, and related services described in the applicable order.
2. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly update billing and contact details. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
3. Orders, fees, and renewal
Services begin when we accept the order and provision the service. Fees, taxes, billing frequency, initial term, renewal price, and any setup charges will be shown before checkout. Unless cancelled under the Refund Policy, recurring services renew automatically at the then-current renewal price.
We may change prices for a future renewal term by giving at least [30] days notice. You may cancel before the renewal date through the client portal or by contacting support.
4. Customer content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of your content. You grant YamsHost the limited permission needed to store, transmit, back up, and display that content to provide the services. You are responsible for lawful content, application security, software updates where applicable, and independent copies of important data.
5. Acceptable use
You must comply with applicable law, registry rules, and the YamsHost Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited activity includes malware, phishing, spam, unauthorized access, copyright infringement, credential theft, abusive scanning, and activity that threatens the network or other customers.
6. Domains
Domain registrations, transfers, renewals, and disputes are also subject to the terms of the applicable registry and registrar. Registration data must be accurate. Domain fees, renewal dates, transfer restrictions, and privacy options will be shown before purchase where available.
7. Support, maintenance, and backups
Support channels and response targets are described on the Support page. We may perform planned maintenance and emergency work when reasonably necessary to protect the platform. Backups are a resilience feature and do not replace your own backup strategy.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate services for non-payment, material breach, unlawful or abusive activity, security risk, or a request from a competent authority. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. After termination, data will be handled according to the order, applicable policy, and published deletion period.
9. Warranties and liability
Except for commitments expressly stated in the SLA, services are provided using reasonable care and skill and are not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. The aggregate liability cap should be confirmed by legal counsel and stated here as [amount or fee multiple], subject to non-excludable rights.
10. Changes, law, and contact
We may update these Terms for legal, security, or service reasons. We will publish the updated version and provide notice where required. The agreement is governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], with disputes heard in [courts], subject to mandatory consumer protections. Contact legal questions at legal@yamshost.org.
