Responsible use

Keep the platform safe for everyone.

This policy describes activity that is not permitted on YamsHost services and how reports are handled.

1. Prohibited activity

  • Illegal content, fraud, phishing, credential theft, malware, ransomware, or unauthorised access.
  • Unsolicited bulk email, deceptive redirects, traffic laundering, or abuse of messaging systems.
  • Copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights infringement.
  • Network scanning, denial-of-service attacks, exploit testing against systems without permission, or attempts to evade security controls.
  • Content or workloads that materially threaten the platform, other customers, or the stability of shared resources.
  • Use of services for high-risk activity where failure could cause injury, loss of life, or critical infrastructure harm without a separately agreed service.

2. Customer responsibility

Customers must secure applications, update software, protect credentials, respond to abuse reports, and maintain independent backups. Resellers are responsible for their customers and end users.

3. Reports and investigation

Send reports to abuse@yamshost.org with the affected domain, evidence, dates, and your contact details. We may investigate using logs and service data and may request cooperation from the account owner.

4. Enforcement

Depending on risk and legal requirements, we may warn, rate-limit, suspend, quarantine, remove content, or terminate services. We will provide notice where practical, but may act immediately to protect people, systems, or evidence.

5. Appeals

Account owners may appeal an enforcement decision through support within [14] days, explaining the corrective steps taken. We will review the appeal and communicate the outcome where legally and operationally possible.
